Remote control is the best solution for helping someone with computer issues, over a distance. Instead of sending step by step instructions, it is much easier to assume full control over that computer and solve the problem yourself. Unfortunately, obtaining a computer's IP address is not very easy for inexperienced users, but with CrossLoop, you will not have to find any addresses. The application enables you to take control over other computers, just by clicking a button.

CrossLoop is free, but you can also find a Pro version, which includes more features. You can use the same 2 MB setup file to install the application on the client computer as well as the server. It is available for Windows and Mac platforms and the payed version includes an Android app as well.

The application works as a client, as well as a server module. Options for connecting to a computer or sharing your own desktop are located on separate tabs. To share your desktop, you must type in your name and click the Connect button, on the Share tab. You can find an access code, beneath your name, which you must send to a friend who wants to connect to your computer.

Connecting to a computer is done in a similar fashion. You need to specify the host's name, type his access code and hit the Connect button. Before a user connects to a remote computer, the software will ask for permission, on the server's end. Once connected, the server's desktop will appear on a window, on the client's screen.

The software allows you to control a remote computer just like your own. You can use different options to send certain commands, like CTRL + ALT + DEL, to open the Start menu and more. While controlling a computer, you may adjust the colors and other aspects, in case you run out of resources. If you create an online CrossLoop account, you will be able to manage and control multiple remote computers.

Pros

The software allows you to connect to a remote computer, just by typing the host's name and an access code. You may control any computer, over the Internet, just like your own. What's more, you can use the same interface as a client or a server module.

Cons

Controlling a remote computer may impact your computer's performance. With CrossLoop, it takes a single click to connect to any computer over the Internet and control it like it was your own.
